I specialize in working with adults who experience mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder) and anxiety disorders (panic disorders). I also work with adults who are simply trying to make difficult decisions based upon life's ever changing events. Sometimes it helps to have someone who is objective and unbiased to talk with, so that you can make the best choices for yourself and those around you.

Individual therapy can help to increase self-awareness, thereby encouraging the possibility for significant change. The process is a collaborative one, in which therapist and patient work together to identify the reasons for seeking help, the goals of treatment, and the strategies that will be most effective. Often times, issues can be resolved in a few sessions. Some situations require a longer term approach.

The first appointment is intended to be an opportunity for me to gain an understanding of your reason for seeking help. In addition, it provides you with the chance to determine if my style and approach are the right fit for your situation. I will make recommendations regarding the focus of treatment, frequency of sessions, and explain what you can expect from me during our work together.
